BLITAR – The Blitar Ramadan Bazaar generated around Rp 600 million in transactions during a one-day event aimed at supporting local small businesses in Blitar Regency.

Held in Kanigoro on Tuesday, the bazaar gathered more than 100 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from across the region. The event attracted strong public interest and encouraged residents to purchase locally made products.

Darmadi said the government organized the bazaar to stimulate economic activity during Ramadan while promoting local entrepreneurs.

“We opened online registration for the Ramadan Bazaar, and the response from business owners was very strong. In total, 101 MSMEs showcased their products at the event,” he said at Pendapa Ronggo Hadi Negoro.

The bazaar coincided with a gathering attended by members of Korps Pegawai Republik Indonesia (Korpri) in the regency. Their presence helped increase the number of transactions during the event.

Previously, the Regent of Blitar issued a circular encouraging Korpri members to purchase local MSME products worth at least Rp 100,000.

According to Darmadi, many civil servants exceeded that amount after seeing the variety of products offered by local entrepreneurs.

“Alhamdulillah, the enthusiasm among Korpri members was very high. Many even bought more than Rp 100,000 because the products were attractive,” he said.

Preliminary estimates show that the bazaar generated about Rp 600 million in economic turnover within a single day. The figure reflects direct transactions between visitors and participating small businesses.

Many MSMEs displayed flagship products from across Blitar Regency, ranging from food and beverages to handicrafts and household goods.

Although the Ramadan Bazaar lasted only one day, officials believe the event successfully promoted local products and expanded market access for small businesses.

Darmadi added that the strong transaction value demonstrated the potential of similar initiatives to strengthen the regional economy.

“The economic turnover reached around Rp 600 million today. That is quite significant for a bazaar that lasted only one day,” he said.

He expressed hope that similar events could become a regular agenda during Ramadan to further support local entrepreneurs.
