TRENGGALEK – THR complaints in Trenggalek will be formally handled through a dedicated complaint post as local authorities move to ensure workers receive their religious holiday allowance before Eid al-Fitr 2026.

The Trenggalek Industry and Manpower Office said employees can report companies that fail to pay the mandatory holiday bonus, known in Indonesia as THR. The agency plans to set up a complaint center to prevent labor rights violations during the Ramadan–Eid period.

“If any company does not pay THR, workers can file a report through the religious THR complaint post that we will establish soon,” said Christina Ambarwati, head of the Trenggalek Industry and Manpower Office, on Thursday, Feb. 26.

The office will also conduct direct monitoring of companies and employers across Trenggalek, including newly established firms. Officials aim to ensure both THR payments and the 2026 district minimum wage implementation comply with regulations.

Christina, widely known as Tina, said most companies in Trenggalek have historically complied with THR obligations. Employers usually pay the allowance at least seven days before Eid. However, authorities will continue supervision to prevent late or incomplete payments.

She stressed that THR plays a key role in maintaining worker motivation, especially during Ramadan and Eid when household spending typically rises.

The agency is still waiting for technical guidance from the central government on the formal setup of THR complaint posts. Administrative preparations have already begun so the service can operate quickly.

If workers report unpaid THR, the office will summon company representatives for mediation. The goal is to find solutions, particularly for firms facing financial constraints. By law, eligible employees must receive THR equal to one month’s salary.

“Some employees still work until the day before Eid. We hope THR strengthens morale and supports workers during the holiday,” Christina said.
