RADAR TULUNGAGUNG – The chilling tale of a ghost bride pesugihan has once again captured public attention after a dark village legend resurfaced through a viral horror storytelling video. The story follows Seno, a poor farmer who sacrificed everything, including his soul, to gain instant wealth through a forbidden supernatural pact with a terrifying kuntilanak spirit.
In many parts of Java, stories about pesugihan rituals remain deeply rooted in local folklore. However, the legend of Seno and his ghost bride stands out because it combines greed, black magic, and a horrifying curse that destroyed an entire family.
The ghost bride pesugihan story begins in a remote mountain village where Seno struggled to survive extreme poverty. He worked as a farm laborer every day, yet his income barely covered a single meal. The situation worsened after his mother became seriously ill without money for treatment.
Driven by despair, Seno accepted an offer from a mysterious old man who introduced him to a forbidden ritual known as “pesugihan ranjang gaib.” The ritual required him to marry a supernatural female entity believed to rule a haunted forest.
A Deadly Pact With a Kuntilanak
According to the legend, Seno entered the cursed forest on a Friday Kliwon night carrying ritual offerings, incense, and chicken blood. Deep inside the forest, beneath an ancient banyan tree, he performed a dark ceremony to summon the ghost bride.
The entity initially appeared in its horrifying form as a kuntilanak with rotting skin, glowing red eyes, and long tangled hair. Despite the terrifying sight, Seno continued the ritual because he was blinded by his desire for wealth.
The spirit then transformed into a stunningly beautiful woman named Ratna. She promised unlimited riches in exchange for a blood pact that would bind Seno’s soul forever.
Soon after bringing Ratna home, Seno’s life changed dramatically. Gold bars mysteriously appeared beneath his pillow every morning. Within weeks, he built a luxurious mansion, purchased vast farmland, and became the richest man in the village.
Villagers admired Seno’s sudden success, while many young men became jealous of Ratna’s supernatural beauty. However, strange events quickly began surrounding the mansion.
Strange Rituals and Unexplained Deaths
Every midnight, Ratna ordered Seno to burn incense and provide fresh jasmine flowers inside their bedroom. Seno obeyed without question because the supernatural gold kept flowing endlessly.
At the same time, Seno’s mother became weaker day by day. Doctors could not identify her illness, while Ratna insisted on personally caring for her at home. Unknown to Seno, the ghost bride had begun draining the old woman’s life force.
The horror escalated after villagers discovered livestock dying mysteriously with their blood completely drained. Fear spread rapidly across the village as residents suspected a supernatural predator was roaming at night.
Seno Discovers Ratna’s True Form
Seno’s fear grew after witnessing disturbing behavior from Ratna. She refused to eat normal food and instead consumed jasmine petals and raw chicken meat. Her body also turned ice cold every midnight.
One terrifying night, Seno secretly followed Ratna and discovered her drinking fresh blood from a dead cow behind the mansion. The horrifying revelation shattered his illusion of happiness.
Still, Seno remained trapped by greed and fear.
The true nightmare began after his mother suddenly died under mysterious circumstances. Witnesses described her body as unnaturally pale, while Ratna showed no emotion during the funeral.
From that moment, Seno realized the real price of the pesugihan ritual was human sacrifice.
The Black Room and the Final Curse
As the supernatural terror intensified, Ratna demanded a secret black room inside the mansion for dark rituals. Strange chanting and foul-smelling incense constantly emerged from the locked chamber.
One night, Seno finally entered the room and witnessed Ratna in her original kuntilanak form devouring a human placenta surrounded by blood and bones. The sight destroyed his sanity completely.
Desperate to escape the curse, Seno searched for spiritual healers across distant villages. Most refused to help because the blood pact was considered irreversible.
Eventually, an elderly kiai from Mount Lawu revealed the only solution. Seno had to destroy the sacred stone where the ritual began and drive a blessed golden nail into Ratna’s head while she remained in her true form.
A Brutal End for the Ghost Bride Pesugihan
Armed with the sacred nail, Seno returned to the mansion for a final confrontation. Inside the cursed black room, Ratna revealed the horrifying truth behind the ritual.
The wealth, livestock deaths, and even his mother’s death were merely preparations before the ultimate sacrifice, Seno himself.
A violent battle erupted between Seno and the kuntilanak. Although he nearly succeeded in defeating Ratna, hesitation ruined his final chance after the spirit disguised herself as his dead mother.
Ratna eventually overpowered Seno and brutally consumed his life force before tearing out his heart moments before dawn.
The next morning, villagers found the luxurious mansion transformed back into a collapsing hut. No gold or treasure remained, proving the wealth had only been a supernatural illusion.
Until today, locals reportedly still hear the laughter and cries of a woman wearing a red kebaya near the abandoned land once owned by Seno. The legend continues to warn people that there is no shortcut to wealth without devastating consequences.
