TRENGGALEK – Fuel supply ahead of Eid al-Fitr remains secure in Trenggalek, authorities and distributors said, as they step up monitoring to handle the seasonal rise in travel and consumer activity before the Islamic holiday.
Regional distributor PT Jwalita Energi Trenggalek confirmed that current fuel reserves remain sufficient for public needs across the regency. The company has also increased inventory checks to anticipate any surge in consumption during the annual Eid homecoming period.
Director Mardianto Harahap said demand growth before Eid occurs every year and follows a predictable pattern. He noted that the company has prepared supply buffers and logistical coordination to ensure uninterrupted service at fuel stations.
“We can confirm that fuel stock remains at a safe level,” he said. “Demand usually climbs as Eid approaches, but we have prepared adequate supply.”
Beyond stock monitoring, the distributor has inspected equipment and fuel quality across its network. Technical teams examined dispensers, storage systems, and fuel standards to ensure distribution meets operational requirements and safety benchmarks.
Harahap said these inspections help prevent disruptions during peak consumption. He added that stable infrastructure and verified product quality remain critical to maintaining public confidence during the holiday travel season.
Indonesia’s state energy company Pertamina has also urged regional distributors to safeguard fuel quality and maintain adequate reserves ahead of Eid. The guidance forms part of broader national efforts to keep energy supplies stable during Indonesia’s largest annual travel period.
Fuel supplies for Trenggalek originate from the Madiun fuel terminal in East Java. Harahap described the route as reliable and capable of sustaining regional demand even as consumption increases.
“With supply coming from Madiun, we remain optimistic that fuel availability will stay secure through Eid,” he said.
Distributors expect higher vehicle traffic and commercial activity in the coming weeks as residents prepare for Eid al-Fitr celebrations and travel. Despite this increase, Harahap said fuel stations across Trenggalek will continue operating normally without shortages.
He stressed that continuous monitoring and coordination with suppliers remain in place until after the holiday period. “We continue to track stock and distribution closely so the public can access fuel without disruption,” he said.
