TULUNGAGUNG – Dekopinda Tulungagung leadership change entered a new phase after the East Java Regional Indonesian Cooperative Council (Dekopinwil) suspended non-active Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo from his position as chairman.

Dekopinwil appointed Nyadin Sag MAP as acting chairman of Dekopinda Tulungagung. He will lead the organization until the legal process involving Gatut reaches a final and binding court decision.

Nyadin confirmed his appointment on Monday (April 28). He said the decision followed the organization’s internal mechanism and all members must respect it.

“This is an organizational mandate. We will carry out the duties according to the applicable rules while ensuring Dekopinda’s activities continue to run normally,” he said.

Under the official decree, the acting chairman holds full authority like a definitive chairman. This includes cooperative development, coordination, supervision, and institutional strengthening.

Nyadin said he would immediately start internal consolidation to prevent any leadership gap inside the organization. He plans to strengthen communication with board members and cooperative members across Tulungagung.

“We will immediately carry out internal restructuring, including communication with administrators and cooperative members. The principle is that services must not stop,” he stressed.

He also highlighted the importance of maintaining public trust in the cooperative movement. He said the current situation requires strong institutional stability.

The decree states that Gatut Sunu Wibowo will remain suspended until the court issues a final legally binding ruling, known as inkracht van gewijsde. The organization can also appoint a definitive chairman through its formal mechanism.

This means Nyadin’s role is temporary, but it remains crucial for keeping Dekopinda Tulungagung stable and active during the transition.

Nyadin said he would not make major changes to the organization’s existing programs. Instead, he plans to strengthen current initiatives, especially cooperative development and business capacity building.

“We want to ensure cooperatives continue to grow and develop. Coaching programs, assistance, and institutional strengthening will remain priorities,” he said.

He also opened wider communication with all stakeholders. This includes the local government, business actors, and cooperative members.

Officials hope this leadership transition will maintain internal stability and give certainty to cooperative members across Tulungagung.

They believe leadership changes that follow organizational rules are important for protecting public trust and keeping services running smoothly.

“The most important thing is that the organization stays solid and services for members are not disrupted. That is our main focus right now,” Nyadin concluded.
