BLITAR – TMMD Krisik-Gandusari project in Blitar came under direct review from a senior Indonesian Army evaluation team to ensure it meets national standards and delivers tangible benefits to rural communities.

Brigjen TNI R. Benny Arifin, head of the Army Headquarters Evaluation and Supervision Team (Wasev), visited the site of the 127th TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa (TMMD) program operated by Kodim 0808/Blitar in Krisik Village, Gandusari District, on Monday (March 3).

He was accompanied by Capt. Maman Firmansyah from Army Territorial Staff Operations and joined by Blitar Regent Rijanto, Blitar DPRD Speaker Soepriadi, and members of the regional leadership forum.

The TMMD Krisik-Gandusari project is part of a nationwide civil-military initiative designed to accelerate rural development. During the inspection, the Wasev team assessed construction progress, implementation accuracy, and accountability standards.

Officials emphasized that the program must remain aligned with community needs and regional development plans. The evaluation also aimed to confirm that all activities meet operational and financial transparency requirements.

Regent Rijanto welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the Army’s contribution to local development.

“We thank the TMMD team for assisting residents through bridge construction, home rehabilitation, and other essential projects,” he said. “This collaboration shows how the military and local government can work together to deliver equitable development.”

Brigjen TNI R. Benny Arifin stressed that TMMD is a cross-sectoral program involving the Indonesian Army, local administrations, and community members.

The initiative targets both physical infrastructure and non-physical development, including community empowerment. Its broader goal is to strengthen regional resilience while improving public welfare in rural and underdeveloped areas.

He added that sustainability is a key priority. Projects must not only deliver immediate impact but also remain beneficial for years to come.

During the visit, the evaluation team inspected several project sites. These included road paving, tree-planting activities with residents, home rehabilitation for low-income families, sanitation improvements, and bridge construction.

Overall, local officials reported that the TMMD Krisik-Gandusari project has progressed smoothly without major obstacles. Authorities hope the program will continue to support long-term rural growth across Blitar Regency.
