TNI Deputy Commander Visits Yonif 886 Panjalu Jayati, Urges Soldier Professionalism and Readiness

RADAR TULUNGAGUNG – The TNI Deputy Commander visit Yonif 886 mission brought senior military leadership to Tulungagung to assess troop readiness and morale. During the visit, the deputy commander inspected Infantry Battalion TP 886 Panjalu Jayati in Manding village, Pucanglaban district.

Yonif TP 886 Panjalu Jayati hosted the leadership briefing and facility inspection. The visit aimed to evaluate operational preparedness while strengthening motivation among frontline soldiers.

During his address, the deputy commander stressed that soldiers must maintain fighting spirit, discipline, and loyalty. He described these values as the core identity of Indonesian military personnel facing increasingly complex missions.

He also urged troops to integrate with local social and cultural environments in their deployment areas. According to him, adaptability improves operational effectiveness and community trust.

Furthermore, the deputy commander called on all personnel to strengthen professionalism and alertness. Continuous training and readiness, he said, ensure soldiers can respond effectively to evolving security challenges.

He warned that national defense demands constant preparedness. “We never know when external threats may emerge, so forces must remain ready at all times,” he said.

The four-star general also outlined force development goals, including a target to establish around 150 new battalions annually. The expansion aims to reinforce Indonesia’s defense capacity amid uncertain regional security dynamics.

Before delivering his remarks, the deputy commander inspected battalion facilities and infrastructure. The review confirmed that operational support systems met required standards.

Finally, he expressed hope that the visit would strengthen the readiness and honor of Yonif 886 Panjalu Jayati personnel in safeguarding national sovereignty and regional security.
