BLITAR – The Blitar City Government has tightened supervision of THR payments in Blitar ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2026. Officials want to ensure companies provide holiday allowances to workers on time.
Authorities have opened a complaint post and formed a monitoring task force. Both will handle potential problems related to THR payments.
Juyanto, head of the Blitar City Office of Cooperatives, SMEs, and Manpower (Dinkop, UKM, Naker), said the complaint post will receive reports from employees. Workers can report delays or irregularities in THR payments.
“Companies must provide THR to employees. The deadline for payment is one week before Eid al-Fitr,” Juyanto said on Tuesday (March 11).
The complaint post operates at the manpower office in Blitar. Workers can visit the office directly to submit reports.
At the same time, the city government has deployed a monitoring task force. The team will visit companies and check compliance with labor regulations.
“The task force will conduct field inspections to ensure companies follow the rules on THR payments,” he said.
Juyanto explained that national regulations already determine the amount of THR payments.
Workers with at least one year of service must receive THR equal to one month’s salary. Employees who have worked for less than one year still qualify for THR.
Companies calculate the payment proportionally based on the employee’s length of service.
“So workers with one year of service receive one month’s salary. Those with shorter service receive proportional payments,” he said.
So far, the city government has not received complaints about THR payment issues in Blitar.
However, officials continue to remind businesses to comply with labor regulations and fulfill their obligations to workers.
“If workers experience problems related to THR, they can report them at the complaint post or contact the task force,” Juyanto said.
