BLITAR – The TMMD program in Blitar has officially concluded after nearly a month of development activities in Krisik Village, Gandusari District. The initiative brought together the Indonesian military, local government, and residents to accelerate rural development.

The closing ceremony on Tuesday (March 11) marked the end of the 127th TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa (TMMD) program organized by Kodim 0808/Blitar. Officials also handed over completed infrastructure and community projects to the local government.

Air Commodore Reza R.R. Sastranegara, commander of Abdurrahman Saleh Air Force Base in Malang, led the ceremony. He delivered remarks from the commander of the Brawijaya Military Regional Command (Kodam V/Brawijaya).

He said the TMMD program has operated since 1980 as a cross-sector partnership. The initiative involves the military, government agencies, and local authorities.

“The program supports territorial development while helping regional governments improve public welfare,” he said.

This year’s TMMD activities included several infrastructure projects. Workers built and repaired roads, drainage systems, bridges, and other public facilities.

The program also introduced several flagship initiatives from the Indonesian Army.

These initiatives included the development of two hectares of farmland to strengthen food security. The team also installed five clean water points through the TNI AD Manunggal Air Bersih (TMAB) program.

In addition, the program renovated 15 uninhabitable houses for low-income families. Workers also built 15 sanitation facilities to improve community health.

The team distributed 100 nutritional food packages to help address child stunting in the village.

Participants also planted trees and cleaned public areas during the program. These activities aimed to improve the surrounding environment.

Officials hope the projects will provide lasting benefits for residents. They also encouraged the community to maintain the infrastructure.

Major Cke Supriyono, liaison officer of Kodim 0808/Blitar, said TMMD focuses on accelerating development in rural areas.

The program also included several non-physical activities. These activities involved public education on national defense, civic awareness, law, agriculture, and health.

Officials also organized sessions on stunting prevention, posyandu services, and drug abuse awareness.

After the ceremony, officials inspected several completed projects. These included newly paved roads, renovated homes, sanitation facilities, and the Red and White Bridge built during the program.
