735 Social Aid Recipients in Blitar Fail Bank Verification Due to Data Mismatch

BLITAR – Data mismatches have caused 735 social aid recipients in Blitar Regency to fail bank account verification, local authorities said.

The affected households receive both Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) and the Family Hope Program (PKH). The government distributes both benefits through a single payment card. As a result, any data issue disrupts access to both programs at once.

“BPNT and PKH overlap and use one card. When data does not match, both programs are affected. We are checking and correcting the records,” said Mikhael Hankam Indoro, head of the Blitar Social Affairs Office.

Officials are now synchronizing beneficiary records by matching the by-name-by-address (BNBA) list with population administration data. The office aims to finish the verification this week.

The review has already revealed several inconsistencies. In some cases, different names share the same national identity number (NIK). These conflicts cause automatic rejection during bank verification.

Verification teams are checking identity numbers, full names, birth details, and other demographic data. They will correct typographical errors and update outdated records with relevant agencies.

The Social Affairs Office says accurate data will ensure aid reaches the right households and prevent future administrative problems. Officials plan to resolve all problematic records before the next disbursement phase so beneficiaries can receive aid smoothly.

Authorities urge recipients to confirm that their NIK and names match their ID card and family registry. Accurate records remain essential for BPNT and PKH payments.

“We are conducting strict checks so BPNT-PKH aid reaches the right beneficiaries,” Hankam said.
