BLITAR – The Blitar City government will begin disbursing the 13th salary for civil servants on June 15, providing an additional income boost for thousands of public employees ahead of the new school enrollment season.
The 13th salary disbursement will benefit 3,291 employees working under the Blitar City administration, including both civil servants (PNS) and government employees under contract schemes (PPPK). Local authorities have allocated Rp 20.3 billion to fund the payment program.
Acting Regional Secretary Tri Iman Prasetyo said the city administration has completed most of the preparations required for the distribution process. Officials expect the payments to reach eligible employees according to schedule.
“The government has prepared approximately Rp 20.307 billion, and we plan to begin distributing the 13th salary on June 15,” Tri Iman Prasetyo said.
According to data from the Blitar City government, the recipients include 2,346 civil servants and 943 PPPK employees. The administration considers the annual benefit an important form of financial support for public sector workers.
Tri Iman said all eligible employees under the city government’s payroll system will receive the additional salary. The administration has also completed the necessary budget planning to ensure a smooth distribution process.
“The total number of recipients reaches 3,291 employees, consisting of civil servants and PPPK personnel within the Blitar City administration. We have made the necessary preparations so the funds can be distributed properly and smoothly,” he said.
The city government is currently finalizing administrative procedures before releasing the funds. Officials remain confident that the payment process will proceed without delays.
The 13th salary serves as a supplementary annual benefit commonly provided to Indonesian civil servants. Many employees use the additional income to cover educational expenses, household needs, and other family costs.
Tri Iman encouraged recipients to use the funds responsibly and prioritize essential expenditures. He noted that the timing of the disbursement could help families prepare for upcoming school registration and education-related expenses.
“For now, we are completing the administrative process. We hope the funds will be used wisely, especially for employees whose children will soon enter school,” he said.
The planned disbursement reflects the Blitar City government’s commitment to fulfilling employee entitlements on time. Officials also expect the payments to support local economic activity as thousands of employees receive additional income this month.
With Rp 20.3 billion ready for distribution, the city administration aims to ensure every eligible employee receives the 13th salary smoothly and without administrative obstacles.
