BLITAR – SPMB PIN Verification process for senior high school admissions in Blitar is entering its final day, with 182 prospective students in Blitar City still yet to complete the mandatory requirement.

Education officials have urged students and parents to act immediately before the verification service closes on Tuesday, June 9. Failure to complete the process could prevent students from participating in the 2026/2027 Student Admission Selection system, known in Indonesia as SPMB.

Abusani Abuzalfa, Head of the Senior High School and Special Education Section at the East Java Provincial Education Branch Office for the Blitar region, said most applicants have already completed the verification process.

Official data show that 12,508 students across the Blitar region have successfully verified their PINs. The total includes 3,707 students from Blitar City.

“As of today, more than 12,000 students have completed verification, including thousands from Blitar City,” Abusani said.

Despite the strong participation rate, officials remain concerned about the students who have not finalized their applications.

“There are still around 182 prospective students in Blitar City who have not completed PIN verification. We urge them to finish the process immediately because the verification service ends tomorrow,” he said.

The Education Branch Office stressed that PIN verification serves as a mandatory requirement for all applicants seeking admission to public senior high schools and vocational schools.

Students cannot proceed to the next stage of the admission process without a verified PIN. The number functions as the primary access code for submitting applications to their preferred schools.

Abusani explained that many of the remaining cases involve students who started the online verification process but failed to complete the final validation stage.

According to him, some applicants submitted their information through the online system and then postponed validation until the deadline approached. This delay created unnecessary risks because the system imposes strict time limits.

“Many students submitted requests online but postponed validation. If they miss the deadline, they must start again through the nearest school,” Abusani said.

Officials reported that the verification process has run smoothly across Blitar City. Schools have not experienced major queues or technical disruptions.

Even so, authorities confirmed that they will not extend the verification period. The deadline remains unchanged.

Because of that policy, officials have urged students to complete validation immediately. They also encouraged parents to ensure their children finish the process before the service closes.

The Education Branch Office warned that missing the deadline could affect a student’s chance to participate in the upcoming admission cycle.

“We urge students not to wait until the last moment. We will not extend the verification period, so everyone must complete the process immediately,” Abusani said.
