BLITAR – The Blitar court distributes free takjil to residents as part of a social outreach program during the holy month of Ramadan, aiming to strengthen ties with the local community.
The initiative took place on Imam Bonjol Street in Blitar City on Tuesday afternoon (March 10). Dozens of motorists and pedestrians passing through the area received free iftar snack packages before sunset.
Organizers prepared 500 takjil packages for distribution. Many residents welcomed the gesture as they traveled home ahead of the evening fast-breaking time.
Chairman of the Blitar District Court, Derman P. Nababan, said the activity reflects the court’s commitment to maintaining close relations with the community.
“We hope this program can continue to strengthen our connection with the public,” Nababan said.
According to him, the court wants to show that judicial institutions are also part of society. Through social activities like this, the court shares the spirit of togetherness during Ramadan and the upcoming Eid al-Fitr celebration.
Beyond distributing takjil, the event also served as an opportunity to promote the court’s integrity zone development program, which focuses on improving transparency and accountability within the judicial system.
Nababan emphasized that all services at the Blitar District Court operate transparently. This includes both courtroom proceedings and services at the one-stop integrated service center (PTSP).
He also stressed that the court does not charge illegal fees for any services.
The court hopes the public and members of the press will support efforts to maintain a clean and accountable judicial system.
By strengthening cooperation with the community, officials aim to build greater public trust in judicial institutions while continuing to deliver fair and transparent services.
