RADAR TRENGGALEK – Extreme weather in Trenggalek triggered a series of disasters across three districts and four villages. The local disaster agency recorded floods, a levee breach, and fallen trees that damaged public facilities. According to officials, persistent high-intensity rainfall in recent days caused the incidents.

First, in Munjungan district, strong water flow breached the Ngadipuro fish landing levee in Craken village. As a result, authorities warned flooding risk could worsen in surrounding areas if repairs are delayed. Response teams therefore placed the site under close monitoring.

Meanwhile, flooding submerged parts of the Panggul-Pacitan road in Wonocoyo village, Panggul district. Water spread across multiple neighborhood units in Karang hamlet. However, conditions improved later in the afternoon. “Inundation occurred in several neighborhoods of Karang hamlet, but by 15:15 WIB the water had subsided,” said Triadi.

In Sawahan village, Panggul district, a sengon tree fell onto a state electricity line. Consequently, the incident briefly disrupted local power supply. In addition, a banyan tree in Ngadimulyo village, Kampak district, struck Miftahul Huda Mosque. The impact caused moderate structural damage to the building.

Overall, authorities recorded three disaster events across Panggul, Munjungan, and Kampak districts. A breached levee and a damaged mosque marked the main structural losses. Moreover, flooding in Wonocoyo affected 26 households, or 52 residents.

Joint response teams cleaned mud and debris from affected homes in Wonocoyo. Crews focused on houses in RT 22 and RT 24 of Karang hamlet. Authorities continue monitoring all impacted sites while coordinating further mitigation to reduce follow-up risks.
