RADAR BLITAR – TMMD Blitar 2026 has begun delivering immediate impact just one day after its official launch, as soldiers from Kodim 0808/Blitar started rebuilding homes in Desa Krisik, Gandusari District.
On Tuesday (Feb. 10), the Indonesian Military launched the 127th TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa (TMMD) program. The very next morning, troops headed to Dusun Barurejo and began tearing down the unsafe house of 75-year-old Sutrisno.
Before sunrise gave way to full daylight, more than a dozen soldiers arrived carrying tools and construction materials. Sutrisno stood nearby, watching closely as they removed the brittle roof, dismantled the bamboo-woven walls, and cleared other fragile sections of the structure.
For years, the house had stood in alarming condition. The woven bamboo panels, known locally as sesek, had rotted in several places. Meanwhile, rainwater poured through holes in the roof, and strong winds shook the structure so violently that Sutrisno feared it might collapse.
“For a long time, I kept hoping I could repair this house,” Sutrisno said. “Thankfully, TMMD Blitar 2026 is taking place in Desa Krisik. Now my home will finally improve.”
Rather than patching damaged areas, the TMMD task force chose to rebuild the house from the ground up. After clearing the debris, the team immediately started installing stronger materials and reinforcing the frame. As a result, the structure began taking shape within hours.
Sutrisno smiled as the walls rose again. “My dream of repairing my home is finally coming true,” he said.
Heavy rain had repeatedly soaked his belongings, and each storm brought new anxiety. Moreover, powerful winds often forced him to stay awake at night, worrying about structural failure.
“I’m very happy with TMMD Blitar 2026,” he added. “Soon my house will be much better. When it rains, it won’t leak. And when strong winds come, I won’t fear it collapsing.”
The soldiers worked throughout the day, replacing damaged walls and strengthening the framework. By late afternoon, the house already looked sturdier and cleaner.
Through TMMD Blitar 2026, the Indonesian Military continues to accelerate rural development while assisting vulnerable residents directly. For Sutrisno, however, the program means something far simpler yet profound: a safer home and lasting peace of mind.
