RADAR BLITAR – A persistent LPG 3kg shortage Blitar continues to disrupt daily life in several villages across Blitar Regency, East Java. Residents say limited supply of the subsidized cooking gas forces them to search across districts and wait in long queues.

In Jaten Village, Wonodadi District, households report ongoing difficulty obtaining the small LPG cylinders used for cooking. Lestari, a local resident, said the shortage has lasted for weeks without improvement.

“It is still hard to find gas,” she said. “If it is available, we must go to another village and still queue.”

Similar conditions affect Pakisrejo Village in Srengat District. Resident Izzah said supplies remain scarce and buyers must line up when stock arrives. She added that the price has reached around 21,000 rupiah per cylinder in her area.

Shortages also persist in Bacem Village, Ponggok District. Residents say they now ration cooking to stretch limited gas supplies. Mubarok, a local resident, said access has remained difficult for some time.

“Gas is still hard to get. It has been like this for days,” he said.

However, supply conditions differ in Udanawu District. Several small shops there still stock LPG 3kg cylinders. Mesiyah, a resident of Karanggondang Village, said availability in her area remains stable, though she noted other locations face shortages.

The uneven situation across districts suggests distribution problems remain unresolved. Residents hope local authorities and energy agencies will restore stable supply soon so households can meet basic cooking needs without excessive queues or inflated prices.
