RADAR TULUNGAGUNG – The mysterious story of the Watu Sujud pesugihan ritual in Mojokerto has once again drawn public attention after a YouTube exploration video revealed a sacred site hidden deep inside a ravine in Seloliman Village, Trawas District, East Java. The location is believed by many visitors to be a spiritual place for seeking blessings, wealth, healing, and business success.

Known as Watu Sujud, the sacred stone site is guarded by an elderly caretaker named Mbah Niti. He has spent nearly a decade maintaining the area, which locals associate with mystical figures such as Nyai Rogo Suci and Dewi Kili Suci.

The Watu Sujud pesugihan ritual has become widely discussed because many people reportedly visit the site seeking instant fortune, smooth business, and prosperity. Despite the mystical reputation, Mbah Niti repeatedly emphasized that visitors should pray only to God and not to the stone itself.

Sacred Location Hidden Inside a Ravine

Visitors must pass through a steep forest path to reach Watu Sujud. The sacred site lies deep inside a ravine surrounded by dense trees and rocky terrain. Because of the difficult route, visitors usually ask Mbah Niti to accompany them during the journey.

At the center of the area stands a giant stone that locals consider sacred. Many pilgrims use the place for meditation and spiritual rituals. Burned incense and ritual remains around the stone show that visitors still regularly perform spiritual activities there.

Mbah Niti explained that he discovered the site after experiencing repeated dreams. In those dreams, a mysterious voice asked him to take care of the abandoned sacred place. After searching for the location, he eventually found the stone and decided to become its caretaker.

Sacred Spring Believed to Heal Illness

Near the stone lies a sacred spring called Sumber Cilik Kili Suci. The spring never dries up, even during the dry season. Visitors usually perform ritual bathing there before entering the Watu Sujud area.

According to Mbah Niti, many people believe the water possesses healing properties. Some visitors reportedly drink the water or bathe in it after medical treatments fail to cure their illnesses.

He stressed that any healing comes only through God’s permission, while the spring serves merely as a spiritual intermediary. Nevertheless, stories about miraculous recoveries continue spreading among local pilgrims and visitors from outside East Java.

Pesugihan Without Human Sacrifice

One aspect that shocked many viewers was the claim that the Watu Sujud pesugihan ritual does not involve human sacrifice or terrifying requirements often associated with mystical wealth rituals in Indonesia.

Mbah Niti said visitors only need to bring incense, commonly known as dupa Gunung Kawi, as part of the meditation process. There are no fixed offerings, no mandatory payments, and no specific sacred days required to conduct the ritual.

“Everything depends on belief and prayer to God,” he explained during the interview.

The caretaker also denied rumors about deadly consequences or supernatural demands after obtaining wealth from the ritual. According to him, the site promotes what locals call “white pesugihan,” meaning spiritual effort without harming others.

Stories of Success From Pilgrims

Mbah Niti claimed many visitors returned with stories of improved finances and successful businesses after performing rituals at Watu Sujud. Some allegedly came from Surabaya and several regions outside Java.

One story involved a political candidate who reportedly visited the sacred site before winning a legislative election. After becoming successful, the politician even built a resting house near the area to revisit the location for spiritual reflection.

Other visitors included struggling entrepreneurs seeking help after bankruptcy. According to the caretaker, many eventually recovered financially after conducting overnight meditation at the site.

The ritual itself usually lasts one night. However, visitors who cannot stay overnight are still allowed to return home after completing prayers and meditation.

White Tiger and Dragon Snake Mysteries

Adding to the site’s eerie reputation are recurring stories about supernatural guardians. Mbah Niti claimed the sacred area is protected by a white tiger and a giant dragon-like snake.

The white tiger is considered the main mystical guardian of Watu Sujud, while the serpent is believed to appear alongside it. Although no scientific evidence supports the claims, such stories continue attracting curiosity seekers and spiritual pilgrims.

Despite the mystical atmosphere, Mbah Niti ended the interview with a clear reminder for visitors not to worship stones or supernatural beings. He encouraged people to remain faithful to God while treating the sacred location only as a spiritual place for reflection and prayer.

Located in Seloliman Village, Trawas, Mojokerto, the Watu Sujud site remains one of East Java’s most talked-about mystical destinations, blending local legend, spiritual belief, and supernatural mystery into a story that continues captivating online audiences.
