TULUNGAGUNG – A motorcycle car crash in Tulungagung left two drivers injured after a motorcyclist allegedly made a sudden turn on a public road in Boro Village, Kedungwaru District.

The accident occurred on Monday (March 9) at around 12:30 p.m. near Cakra Jaya Sports Hall. A Honda Supra Fit motorcycle collided with a Honda Brio car while both vehicles were traveling from east to west.

Tulungagung Traffic Police Chief AKP M. Taufik Nabila confirmed the incident. He said the crash involved a motorcyclist identified as S, 64, a resident of Tebokan Hamlet, Boro Village.

The car driver was identified as MRAP, 20, from Darungan Hamlet, Kepuhrejo Village, Ngantru District. The vehicle carried the license plate AG 1981 YK.

“Traffic police confirmed the accident occurred in Boro Village,” Taufik said.

According to police, the motorcyclist was riding a Honda Supra Fit with plate number AG 5005 RER from east to west.

When he reached the area in front of the sports hall, the rider turned right toward the north. At the same moment, the Honda Brio driven by MRAP was traveling behind the motorcycle in the same direction.

Police believe the motorcyclist failed to properly check traffic conditions before turning.

“The motorcyclist likely did not pay enough attention to traffic while making the turn, which led to the collision with the car behind,” Taufik explained.

Authorities said the case remains under investigation. Taufik also urged motorists to remain cautious while driving, especially when making turns or changing direction.

“Drivers should always make sure the road is clear before performing any maneuver,” he said.
