BLITAR – Blitar political party aid fund will rise significantly in 2026, with the local government allocating Rp 3.4 billion for political assistance grants. The amount is around Rp 1 billion higher than last year.
The increase comes after the value of political aid per valid vote rose from Rp 3,000 to Rp 5,000. The adjustment followed a recommendation from the governor and a proposal from the Blitar Regency Legislative Council (DPRD).
Last year, the Blitar Regency Government allocated Rp 2.076 billion for political party assistance. This year, the amount increased to Rp 3.4 billion, showing stronger financial support for eligible political parties.
Edi Santosa, Head of Politics and General Government Affairs at the Regional National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol) of Blitar Regency, said the higher allocation directly followed the increase in aid per valid vote.
“Previously, assistance per vote was Rp 3,000. Now it has increased to Rp 5,000 per valid vote according to the governor’s recommendation. That means there is an increase of Rp 2,000 per vote,” he said on Sunday.
He added that in 2025, the total political aid grant only reached Rp 2.076 billion. Therefore, the latest allocation shows a major increase in government support for political parties across the regency.
However, the disbursement process still depends on the Audit Result Report (LHP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). The report remains the main requirement before the government can release the funds.
Edi explained that most political parties have submitted their administrative documents. Now, the local government is waiting for the audit of the previous year’s accountability report to finish.
“Once the LHP is issued, we will immediately process the disbursement. Most administrative documents are already complete, so we are only waiting for the BPK report,” he said.
According to him, each party’s allocation depends on the number of valid votes secured during the 2024 general election. As a result, parties with the highest vote totals automatically receive the biggest share.
Based on the Regent’s decree for the 2024–2029 recipients, the total valid votes used for calculation reached 692,230 votes. The total political aid budget reached Rp 3,461,150,000.
The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) became the largest recipient with 201,539 votes and Rp 1,007,695,000 in aid.
The National Awakening Party (PKB) followed with 164,442 votes and Rp 822,210,000. Meanwhile, the Gerindra Party received 102,044 votes and Rp 510,220,000.
Other recipients included the National Mandate Party (PAN), Golkar Party, NasDem Party, Democratic Party, and the United Development Party (PPP), based on their vote totals.
Edi said he remains optimistic that the government can distribute the political aid fund soon after BPK issues the final audit report.
